Jim (He of the recorder idea) and Jeff (the tech master) said I need business cards. They’re right, of course. They usually are. Carlee (the website maker) created some to go with the website and then Libby (writer and marketer), Jeff (again) and Chris (AI and software engineering guru) audited the cards to make sure we didn’t forget anything and made final edits. Libby sent me to Staples to get them tomorrow.
I was glad Carlee was able to add the Star of Knowledge and Sword of Light. Those two symbols together remind me of Gráinne and Richard as a couple. Next time we’ll get the sword moved over a bit. We’re all working at such a pace that any thought of perfection has vanished like the Gentle Folk.
The Logline that Jim told me I had to have was a challenge. A logline is one sentence that tells you the whole story in a way that makes everyone want to read it. They use them for movies a lot, like, “A young woman engaged to marry a rich businessman falls in love with a struggling artist, as the Titanic crosses the Atlantic Ocean on its doomed voyage.”[1]
Simple to read, hard to craft. I needed my teacher and classmates. With their group insights and ideas, we came up with this line. If you squint your eyes and tilt your head you might be able to read it. Here it is without strain:
How does a great love endure? Gráinne Nà Mháille, legendary 16th Century Irish Sea Captain, wife, and mother, hounded by the English for piracy and treason, battles time, unimaginable losses, and imprisonment to find a way….
