Normally I start my day, still snug under the covers, texting friends to update plans or respond to their lovely texts. The last morning text is to my friend Helen, with my To-do list for the day. The next day I tell her how I did. This day, a Sunday, I had eight things on the list like laundry, groceries, and checking bank balances.

Then I got up to start on my list but instead went straight to work rewriting the fictional prophecy in the Historical Novel I’m writing about Grace O’Malley.

By mid-afternoon I had made progress and then the thought arose, “I should put this on my website,”

“I don’t have a website,” I said to whatever part of me came up with the idea.

“And I don’t even have a name,” I added.

At which point, “The Gráinne Project” popped into my head, was cleared by Google to be trademark free, and GoDaddy said it was available. Canva had templates and I got started. I know I’ll include the URL on business cards I also didn’t know until this moment that I’m taking on my trip, hoping I can stay in touch with people I meet there. I leave for Ireland in 18 days.
